STK 2525 1957 Chevrolet Nomad The Nomad is a classic tri-five Chevrolet and this fully restored '57 is a perfect example of this icon - strikingly original in appearance with strategic mechanical upgrades. The frame-off restoration provided an absolutely straight exterior that was professionally reshot in PPG White (2016). Trim that looks new, bumper guards and gold accents complete the stunning exterior package. The only thing that rivals the exterior is the completely restored red/black cloth/vinyl interior. Every detail has been carefully addressed - the headliner ribs are stunning. A tilt-wheel steering column has been added along with seat belts and a Rockford AM/FM/Cassette/CD Changer stereo system. Vintage A/C provides cooling and all new glass is smoked-tinted. Under the classic hood sits a new 350ci small-block crate motor. Enhancements include: a dual-plane manifold, Edelbrock 4V, electronic ignition, serpentine drive system, aluminum radiator, rams-horn manifolds and dual exhaust. The Nomad's frame was powder-coated and a new upgraded wiring harness was installed along with electronic cruise control. The front suspension is equipped with tubular upper control arms and a '500 Series' power steering conversion package. Front disc/rear drum brakes are power-assisted with a dual master cylinder. Behind the mighty-mouse sits a 700-R4 automatic and rear differential from a GM S-10 with 3.42:1 gearing. Nice Ridler 17" alloy wheels mount Hankook radials.
