The body is straight and the panel gaps are correct. The chrome and stainless trim is all in excellent condition, setting off the elegance of the black car. The underside of this Skyliner is exceptionally clean. Interior The green/gold/black/silver interior is clean and fresh-looking, and contrasts nicely with the black exterior. The headliner looks as new. The gauges all work properly as do the lights, wipers and horn. The speedometer and turn signals likewise work properly. Retractable Hardtop The electrically-controlled raising and lowering mechanism is totally automatic from the unlocking mechanism at the windshield until the top is completely stowed beneath the trunk lid. [See video] Engine The original Ford 332 cid V-8 cylinder engine--rebuilt at the time of restoration--rests in a fully detailed engine compartment. At the turn of the key the engine comes to life and runs properly. Transmission The car’s original Cruise-O-Matic transmission works smoothly and properly, and was rebuilt during restoration. Brakes The brakes on the Ford bring it to a safe stop without any pulling from side to side.
