Vehicle Description
History: Porsche Factory Kartex shows a very late production with delivery on 11 August 1959 via Porsche Glöckler of Frankfurt, Germany to Mr. Alfred Andreoli of Arcadia, California. The car was Meissen Blue with USA export bumpers and Continental tires. Mr. Andreoli took a European delivery of his Porsche, but by 25 January 1960 Porsche Factory warranty and service records show the car at Competition Motors in Los Angeles. Mr. Andreoli owned the car until 2004, selling his “original” one-owner car to Chris Stavros of San Diego. Stavros, a well-known local 356 enthusiast and collector, kept the car for 14 years, eventually restoring it with some of the best 356 experts. Condition: One of the most original, surviving 356A coupes, this car was skillfully restored to the highest level by the Porsche 356 world’s best experts. It retains its original body shell and floors, with original spot welds and seams intact. All body chassis number stampings in front hood, engine lid and doors remain. Date stamps on the fuel tank, fuel sender, instruments, wheels and other parts are visible. It retains its original , matching-numbers engine and transmission. The majority of the bright work and original parts were refurbished not requiring the use of reproduction parts. This is one of the finest examples available and ready to enter a concours or drive in a rally for the discerning collector.
