1959 356A/1600 Reutter Cabriolet Chassis No 151763 Engine No. 73326 Transmission No. 26447 Purchased new in Long Beach California in Ivory over Red as delivered. Complete Numbers - Matching Throughout Verified by Porsche Certificate of Authenticity A lifelong one family owned car along with it’s current owner. Offered here is the final model year 356 A Cabriolet. 151763 Production Completion Date was 02/1959 As a U.S. specification Reutter Cabriolet.Optional equipment listed is DunlapTires ,Boge Shock Absorbers and USA Bumpers. A wonderful and rare set of Original Dealer Plates of Otto Zippers Precision Motors are included.This is a complete #’s matching car with the last two digits of its serial # 63 stamped on the front hood drivers side hinge bracket, each inside door panel and rear engine deck lid tray. A no accident body with its perfect original bumpers ,original floors, longitudinals & battery box.Another testament to the wonderful preservation of this car is the beautifully unrestored steering wheel ,another rare feature only accompanied by a car of this quality. A recent restoration ( 2016 / 2018 ) by some of the best known Porsche experts in Los Angles California. The body was stripped by hand using the best chemical paint removers to bare metal. A beautifully preserved body with its factory panel fit can be seen in the photos was then primed and after days drying was painted with Single Stage Ivory as per the factory. The photos show the progression of bare metal to primer to its final paint. The same procedure was applied to its original hardtop and was painted in the original body color of Ivory. When in bare metal we found corrosion on the door bottoms ,I could have left it alone but wanted it perfect so had Steve Hogue of Hogue Enterprise do the metal work. Those who know Steve know he is the very best here on the west coast. The pictures tell the story. Body and Paint was completed by Stephen Cognata of The Paint Shop in Burbank California. Stephen came highly recommended and worked for both the highly Acclaimed Angelo Pino and Mosiers Reatoration before starting his own business. . The interior and Hardtop headliner was completed by K&H of Garden Grove California. The interior was done as Original with the only exception using Red leather throughout instead of vinyl. Carpeting was done as Original using Oatmeal square weave. A new soft-top was added by the current owner using a new soft-top frame with all new hardware , bows by Ted Capps and upholstered by Tony of Autobahns using black German canvas with tan herringbone headliner to complement the interior colors. Included is a new 1/2 tonneau in German black canvas. To summarize the sale comes with its original engine ,tool kit , orig.
