1961 Chevrolet Apache 1/2 ton short box . Available in our Redmond Or. showroom is this very rare and desirable old school style short bed pickup. The body is very straight and rust free other than the light surface rust you ca see in the pictures. The hoods on these early 60s Chevrolet trucks were dubbed the cat eye hoods and are very hard to find in good condition like this one is. The wood in the bed looks like it is the original wood from the factory showing the aged patina just like the rest of the body. We have given it three coats of clear coat to preserve the uniqueness. The head lights have the classic eye brow bezels and the white wall tires along with the perfect stance make this truck look as 1960s as you can get. This classic runs strong with the 327-V-8 engine and the three speed column manual gear shift. Break out your straw hat put on the white T- shirt roll up your lucky strikes in the sleeve and we will see you at Mel's dinner or just cruising downtown on Friday nite. The interior still has the factory bench seat. We bought this truck and the prior owner had it for several years he stated to us that he replaced the cab and front clip with a one ton truck he had on his farm as the frame, bed and running gear deserved preservation.
