I am the third owner of this original auto. The 352 V8 engine and the transmission have always worked well. The only improvements have been a new white ragtop, body repainted, 352 engine refurbished, dual brakes added, heavy-duty rear shocks, seat belts installed, and radial tires. Even has the original rear-tire chrome panels, hubcaps, red vinyl ragtop-cover for parades, dual spotlight/mirrors, and jack ! The classic auto also looks great with nice lines. The new style was introduced in 1961 to reflect the new Space Age... hence the name Galaxie 500.
