1963 Elva Courier MK 3 vintage racecar. Power is from a race-prepped 1800cc MGB engine with JE pistons, Carrillo rods, a nitride crankshaft and modified oil pan, refreshed in 2015, with a close-ratio 4-speed manual gearbox and Quaife limited slip differential, custom roll cage and Fuel Safe cell. Acquired in 2010 the engine was rebuilt by Elva guru Butch Gilbert, the car has a race history from the mid 1990s to present day, including the 2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and most recently a CSRG event at Sonoma Raceway in 2017. Elva has a history of building race cars and sports cars through the 50s and 60s, only a small number, approx. +/- 50 Courier MK3 cars LHD were shipped to the USA. Mark Donohue won the SCCA National Championship in 1961 in a Elva Courier and went on to race in Formula 1. The name ELVA comes from the Frenchwords elle va "she goes"
