Vehicle Description
VERY RARE "R" CODE 427 - 1963.5 4 SPEED TOPLOADER FORD GALAXIE 500. Body is in excellent condition. Frame up restoration with all new parts: new rear/front springs and suspension, gas tank/fuel lines, original factory steel wheels and restored dog dish hubcaps, radiator, heater, exhaust, brakes, 1970 Torino 429 31 spine toploader. I still have the original T-10 4 speed transmission that need to be rebuilt. The 427 motor and rear axle have been professionally rebuilt with less than 200 miles driven since restoration. Original matching numbers 2 by 4 intake manifold/carburetors has been professionally blueprinted and restored. Original restored Red Rangoon steering wheel/upholstery/carpeting/door panels. 2018 original color of Raven Black paint. Restored steering box and components. Frame removed and powder coated black in Spokane, WA. All outside door and body trim and bumpers professionally restored. New windshield and new body rubber seals throughout. Body, doors, and floor has been sound proofed. According to a 1964 owner, this car was raced in Daytona Beach, Florida area and in the state of Tennessee. Driver names who raced/owned the car were Minor and McIntyre. I am seeking info as to exactly where and dates this car was raced in those locations. From there it appears the car went to a University student in Texas and eventually to auction in Phoenix,AZ. I have receipts where Jackson of Barrett Jackson purchased parts for the car in the late 1990's. I purchased the car in Walla Wallla, WA in 1997 and it has taken over 21 years to complete the restoration. I have been to 5 car shows, and did receive two "Best of Show". Very nice car with quite a history. I hope to find someone who can help fill in the history for the missing years.
