Used 1964 Ford Mustang for sale in Floral City, FL

This Convertible was built on July 1st, 1964, right in the middle of the first production year of the Ford Mustang. And although it was equipped with power steering and dealer installed A/C , what really makes it special is that it's a D-code. The 289 Cui was an option on the 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang and was an intermediate performance version of the engine , introduced with a four-barrel carburetor and 9.0:1 compression, rated at 210 hp (157 kW) at 4,400 rpm and 300 lb⋅ft (407 N⋅m) at 2,800 rpm. The D-code engine is relatively rare, as it was only offered as an optional engine in the latter half of the 1964 model year. Another amazing thing about this classic is that, after 2 layers of undercoating came off, the original floors and sheetmetal appeared. And all in excellent shape. We did replace the rear floor pan but this was only because there were so may pinholes in it that it wasn't worth repairing it. Other than that, as you can see in the pictures, this car looks immaculate. Previous owners upgraded the car with aftermarket disc brakes and also added a small center console with cup holders and a luggage rack. The top has been replaced as well and is in excellent condition.
