This car is a true GTO Convertible, identified by the trim tag, it was born a 389 / 4-speed car. It has been treated to a full Frame Off, Rotisserie restoration, completed 5 years ago. The underside of the car is as slick and shiny as the top side. During the build it was upgraded with some modern components, which make this GTO an absolute pleasure to drive. It has been given the heart of a true Tiger, a roaring Pontiac 461 cubic inch stroker V8. The engine build started with a 1969 Pontiac 400, 350HP block bored .040 over. The rotating assembly was ordered fully balanced from Kauffman Racing. It has an Eagle 4.250 stroker crankshaft, Eagle 6.800 rods, Keith Black forged ICON pistons, Comp Cams complete hydraulic roller cam set up, retrofit roller lifters, matched pushrods, and springs and retainers topped off with Crane roller rocker arms. The top end features Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads, Edelbrock performer RPM intake and a Holley 850 carburetor. The ignition is fired by an MSD distributor, MSD 6AL digital box, and Taylor wires. It has Doug's ceramic coated headers, a Billet Specialties TruTrack serpentine belt system with billet alternator, and billet power steering reservoir. It is cooled by a Ron Davis radiator, and the fans are controlled by a Dakota Digital Pac2750 fan controller. The transmission is a new Tremec TKO600 5-Speed Manual with a "White Lightning" shifter from American Powertrain hooked to a 3.90 geared posi-traction rear axle. The frame has been blasted, painted and fitted with all new bushings, springs, shocks, lines, disc brakes, balanced driveshaft and flowmaster exhaust with rear splitters. Other nice upgrades include Power Steering, Disc Brakes, and Vintage Air Conditioning. The interior is all brand new with black bucket seats, console, and factory tachometer. All the pot metal trim has been re-plated, all the emblems are new, all the seat trim is new, everything is new or redone. It has VINTAGE A/C and Heat, which really helps on the hot and cold days. The top is power operated and works flawlessly with all new mechanicals, switch, pump, lines and cylinders. This is one amazing GTO that could be the pride of anyone's collection.
