Vehicle Description
Extremely rare combination of desirable features. Drop dead beautiful colors too. It is an early production 1964 1/2, #s match. I sold this car 25 years ago. That is thousands of cars ago but I remember this one because it is so outstanding. Used occaisionally and properly stored. EXTERIOR: This car was a total nut and bolt restoration when I sold it 25 years ago. It was just freshened up with a new paint job in it's factory color. The paint is polished like glass. Body is straight and fits right. The Pagoda green is such an appealing color especially against the bright white top. All the trim is bright and shiny. Recently added chrome styled wheels with turquoise centers and radial redline tires. It also has optional fog lamps in front. INTERIOR: The white is an ideal contrast to the exterior. All of the upholstery still shows really well. Dash area is restored and detailed. The white steering wheel, chrome bezels, knobs etc look new. Still has original radio. Yes, that is a factory air conditioning unit under the dash, that is how Ford did it early on. Seatbelts have been added. Has original style 4-speed shifter. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Restored as original. The 64 1/2 had unique features which this car has- D code 289 motor with 4 barrel carb, generator instead of alternator, red starter relay instead of black. The power steering reservoir is remotely located. There are also edges on the corners of the hood that could injure someone if bumped, they soon started folding that edge over. The components are proper and have correct finishes. It is very clean looking. TRUNK: All clean metal painted the exterior color. Under the mat the gas tank looks new. Has spare with cover. UNDERSIDE: Restored to concourse specs 25 years ago. Still well preserved. They correctly painted/primed the floors. The front end steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. The 4-speed still has it's original tag designating matching #s. Bottom of motor is still clean. Assembly line paint markings were correctly applied. You can search high and low, you will not find another with these options and colors. The compliments are constant, especially from the ladies!
