This authentic 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4000 continuation series was delivered as a roller to XK's Unlimited for engine build and final assembley. Produced in late 2007 - 2008. It comes in Silver with Black Le Mans stripes and yellow fender stripes. The main body of the Shelby Cobra is made of fiberglass. Excellent paint. Original from new. The car is finished in the desirable SC format - no glove box but side pockets and carpeted trunk added. Original paint with just some minor rock nicks on the front of the rear fender flares. Correct Tri bar Lucas headlights. Tonneau cover. The black leather interior is as new. The car has a competition 4 point Simpson harness and correct wood-rimmed (quick release) steering wheel. Carroll Shelby signed sun visor. Safe-craft Aluminum fire extinguisher. The engine in the car is a Shelby Aluminum 427 c.i. V8 side oiler w/ standard bore. High capacity finned aluminum oil pan. Some spec's on the motor: 11.1:1 compression. Dual 4 barrel Holly Carbs w/ MSD ignition. JE Pistons, steel crankshaft (solid roller camkshaft) TD Roller Rockerarms - Carrillo forged steel rods. Holman Moody intake and Holman Moody Valve Covers McCloud Clutch and Aluminum fly wheel HD water pump and oil pump. Roller timing chain 1965 style air cleaner housing and a custom set inlcuded. The top end of the motor was just gone thru by Gary Clark of Clarks Auto and Marine in San Jose, CA. The engine is still in its break in period. Coolant recovery tank and fuel pressure gauge on motor. A David Keys Ford Top loader 4 speed. Rack & Pinion Steering. Shelby aluminum differential cover. High capacity 40 Gallon Fuel Tank with recently replaced foam baffles installed. Shelby GT40 race pin drive wheels on period correct Good Year billboard street tires give the car the correct authentic look. A single owner vehicle from new with 2028 miles on the car. This car has been completely sorted by the current owner and is road ready. Never tracked or raced. California title, black plate registered to the car, current registration and SB-100 smog exempt.
