Vehicle Description
This is an ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING 1966 CHEVROLET NOVA SS. Price Reduced!! It is a real SS car. It started as a nice clean example before a complete nut and bolt restoration was done. The body is original, with the exception of the rear sail panel. An NOS GM replacement piece was found in Bristol, Tennessee, still in the original GM box. The engine, transmission, and rear-end have all been rebuilt and refreshed to their original specs and they are the original numbers matching pieces. The owner has owned this car since 1991. He oversaw the meticulous restoration from beginning to end. The Marina Blue paint, which was the original color, and engine rebuild were one of the few things outsourced. The body was stripped to bare metal before the base coat/clear coat Marina Blue was laid down. A speed shop in South Carolina rebuilt the original 283. The only variation on stock was the original block was bored .30 over. The original radiator was re-cored. The gas tank is brand new and is a GM Original piece. You can see from the photos that the interior is incredible and spotless. There is one spot on the passenger side floor board where moisture from a cooler left a small discoloration spot on the carpet. The original radio is still there and works. It's only an AM radio though, so you may have trouble finding a station. Every seal, gasket, bearing, and rubber strip has been replaced on this car. The wheels are the original 1966 steel wheels and hubcaps that say “SS” on them. This car is rarely driven! It is kept in a custom built trailer and the trailer is parked in the garage. In the winter, the garage is kept at no less than 60 degrees. This car has been trailered to shows since it was restored. It is pulled out of the trailer in the morning and put back in the trailer before the evening dew can settle on the body. You can see from the pictures this car is an incredible representation of a 1966 Chevy Nova SS. The trailer is available for sale with the car for an additional $6500. The trailer will not be sold before the car is sold. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
