Vehicle Description
PRICE REDUCED Below professional 3rd party fair market valuation!!! This is a true 1967 RS Camaro. It has all the right equipment, the right color, and the right price. This is THE ONE. This is a car that is welcome and admired at any local cruise night or car show, and that you can drive with confidence anywhere you want to go. I’ve owned the car since 2001. I’m technically the 3rd owner, but the 2nd owner was a neighbor and friend who only had the car a month. Originally Bolero Red, the car went through a full professional restoration in 2006 and was converted to a truly stunning Hugger Orange modern paint job, with just a touch of pearl. The car receives compliments on the paint everywhere it goes. No trunk or floor pans were needed, as the originals had no rust. The car is as straight as can be. The beauty of this car runs deeper than the paint however. The motor and transmission are original to the car. Although not a big block pushing out crazy power, this 327ci and Powerglide (auto transmission) are desirable and rare these days, as most Powerglides have been yanked out for drag racing applications. The odometer reads 62k. It was 48k in 2001. I can’t know for sure that it never rolled over, but considering the shape of the interior at the time, nearly mint, I believe those miles to be accurate. The motor went through a professional fully documented rebuild in 2003, down to a full acid bath for the block and heads and replacement of all internals. Instead of opting for extreme performance at the sake of reliability, Edelbrock Performer series components were used almost exclusively. This provides a nice boost in power, but also created one of the most reliable muscle cars you’ll ever find. That power gets to the ground via chrome corvette rallys, staggered with 15x8's at the rear running 245's (225's up front). Power gets to your ears via ceramic coated long tube Hooker Headers and a 3” Flowmaster system exiting just behind the wide Corvette rally rear wheels. The sound is truly glorious. To keep everything cool, this car has been fitted with a top of the line Griffin aluminum radiator and electric fans (added in 2017), connected through braided hoses and anodized fittings. Other upgrades include a complete billet under-driven aluminum pulley system from March, K&N filters (including X-Stream top filter for additional airflow), multi-leaf rear springs, and a stall converter. The brakes are also brand new OEM style, replaced over the past winter. The motor is professionally maintained by Eastern Rod and Customs of Raleigh, NC, with a full overhaul and tune this spring (disassembled motor pic is from this overhaul). Upgrades to the interior include custom in-dash gauges and an A-pillar mounted tach, a discreet under dash cd player/radio and Memphis speakers. The carpet was replaced over the past winter. Everything else is original and in excellent condition. The only exception being the front driver’s seat, which is starting to fray at the seams (visible in the pictures). Reproduction front seat covers from Rick’s Camaro’s will go with the car, or I can work with a buyer on install prior to pick up. The car has always been garaged and well taken care of. For the money, you simply won’t find another 67 RS as clean as this, with original motor and transmission. Don’t miss your chance at this piece of automotive history. I’m glad to create additional videos or pics for serious buyers. I also had an independent valuation performed this year to assess which included a thorough inspection. I am willing to share this with any serious interested parties. With this car you really can know exactly what you are getting into, there are no secrets.
