Vehicle Description
From a peanut farmer in South Carolina. He started with a clean body and restored the car bottom up. Installed a freshly rebuilt 454, 4-speed and F-41 suspension. He was at a show and the car was not for sale, an associate of ours was able to talk him out of the car and here it is available for you. EXTERIOR: Wow, this is one slick looking Chevelle. That mirror finish black, no vinyl top and big chrome wheels are really hot. As I am doing my walk around the body really is straight. Looking down the sides there's no waves, doors fit really well. The paint has a glossy polished finish everywhere. Has the SS hood and emblems. Up front all the trim has been replaced including the grill, bumper and emblems. The stainless moldings around the windshield, rain gutters and wheel wells have been replaced. New Bowtie mirrors and door handles. In back all the trim, tail light bezels, emblems, bumper has been replaced. The windshield, fuzzy window seals and weather strips around the doors and roof are new. It could use new gasket around vent window. Door jambs are painted real nice, new sill plates. New 18 inch aluminum Torque Thrust wheels are chrome plated and have performance tires. INTERIOR: It's pretty much restored from carpet to headliner. Seats are reupholstered, new door panels, cranks & handles, armrests, carpet, embroidered floormats, headliner etc. Dash area is beautiful- new chrome bezels, lower dash repainted gloss black, new dash pad, new heater control panel, new glovebox liner and rearview mirror. Has upgraded retro stereo. White face tachometer on the column and gauge cluster under the dash. Interior light and even the glovebox light works. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It motor looks new, I mean really it looks like it hasn't been driven yet. Rebuilt 454 big block has a fresh coat of Chevy orange paint, new stock chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Upgraded with a hotter cam, dual feed Holley carb with electric choke and HEI ignition system. The inner fenders, firewall, core support are all clean metal painted a nice satin black. Bottom of the hood is glossy black. Everything looks proper- the wiring, hoses, fan shroud, washer bottle etc. The alternator, power steering pump, master cylinder is new. Has correct remote steering reservoir and new cadmium plated brake booster. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been lined with glue in felt. There is a power antenna, new weatherstrip. Bottom of the lid and jamb are glossy. UNDERSIDE: Has the optional F-41 suspension for improved handling. Upfront the suspension is completely new- ball joints, bushings, shocks, swaybar etc. Lowered 1 inch in front for a great stance. Suspension is also painted and detailed like new. Rear suspension is new too- boxed control arms, shocks, bushings, sway bar etc. New front disc brake conversion. E-brake assembly is complete. New polished fuel tank, new straps. Very nicely bent exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Bottom of the motor and the trans are still spotless, new starter. New clutch. Trans is a T-10 4-speed, the rear is the original 3.08. The floors and frame are really clean, original metal. The entire underside is great. Everything looks proper and its detailed and painted up real nice. You are saving 10-15 thousand dollars because it was not born an SS. Honestly it is easier to sell a clone for less money then a real one for more. Besides it really is an SS- Super Sexy!
