67 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA ''BLACK PLATE'' CAR We purchased this car from a longtime owner who bought the car off of a Chevy's dealers lot in San Diego California while being stationed there in the military in 1990. This was his ''dream car'' always garaged. We were called by the owners wife who wanted me to assess the cars condition and appraise it's value. She informed me it has not been started in 4 years. Once I saw the car I had to own it. We struck a deal and towed it home, where we began to resurrect this awesome car. We drained the old gas and cleaned out the fuel system, rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the fuel filter and added new fuel, changed the oil and filter, replaced the plugs and installed a new battery, She fired right up and back to life and I must say she really sounds great !! Surprisingly quite with no funny noises and no smoke !! This beautiful, all original except for 1 older repaint in original ''RALLEY RED'' 1967 Corvette coupe seems like it was in a time capsule. It has 53,000 original documented miles and she still retains it's original numbers matching and born with engine, transmission and rear. Upon inspection the body also appears be original with no filler or replaced panels. It is straight , solid and clean with perfect gaps and fitment. The birdcage is also solid and clean and appears to be original as well with no signs of damage or repairs. We wet sanded, buffed and polished the paint to a deep glossy luster and a show car shine. All of the chrome and trim are original and in beautiful condition as well. The red leather interior also seems to be all original as well and in near perfect condition and everything works as it should, lights, signals, gauges, wipers, radio. This C2 is powered by it's original ''HR'' 327c.i.- 300h.p 4 bbl. engine that as mentioned, runs smooth and strong. It is backed by it's original 2 speed power-glide automatic transmission and posi rear. Loaded with features and options that include it's original a.i.r. smog system, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows,cold factor A/C , original am-fm radio ,tinted glass, rally wheels with new redline radial tires. We replaced what was needed to ensure a safe and reliable driver. N
