1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX In 1967 the Belvedere GTX hit the streets for the first time in two years. It was the perfect blend of style and substance. Exterior The entire car was repainted Crimson Metallic including the engine compartment, and trunk. Then a contrasting black stripe was added. The glass all around is in excellent shape, having new rubber trim installed. Chrome, and brite work accents throughout the car gleams like showroom new. Drivetrain A 440ci Super Commando with a 4-barrel carburetor on top coupled to the correct transmission: the A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, was rebuilt within the last 7,000 miles for the engine, and 10,000 miles for the transmission. An 8.75 Sure Grip rear end is installed from the factory. Also, this beauty comes equipped with features like power steering, power brakes, power windows, and even a rear window defogger.
