This is as clean as a restore can get. Can be taken to any autoshow with pride. A 67 Firebird (1st generation - model introduction year) w/ convertible top. Convertibles are hard to find making it more rare. Not many of these are around. Engine has been Bored out to provide a 462 cu in displacment w/ 400 hp. Completely rebuilt 455 cu in. engine. Pontiac Motor Division (PMD) has been known for some of the strongest, best engines ever produced in this era. And the Pontiac 455 engine is highly sought after. Imagine a GTO engine in a Firebird. Even better than the 400 H.O. spells MUSCLE ! New rebuilt PMD 455 cu in engine, taken from a 1970 Pontiac GTO, new pistons, valves and rings, seals, head bored out .030 over. new Eagle forged balanced crank 4.21 stroke w/ new bearings and edelbrock performance carb. For this who know anything about “high output” engines a PCV breather valve has been added to valve cover allowing venting of the cranckase at low idle. Helps to reduce crankcase pressure build up at higher rpms adding power! Eliminating engine oil blow by. dual hood scoopes w/ unique hood mounted tachometer - a true Pontiac signature! New engine mounts added MSD electronic distributor w/ new high performance spark plug wires. New performance spark plugs Micro high torque starter added 3.55 10 bolt rear end w/ positrack and rear wheel axle bearings. Aluminum drive shaft (light weight) Rebuilt 3 speed automatic TH400 trans with shift kit 4 channel stereo pkg. w/ bluetooth and powered subwoofer Aluminum Griffin radiator (oversized) with new dual 12” fans and side reclaim chrome tank, new water pump. unique Autometer Sport Comp II quality (not cheapies) console gauges added (both temp and oil pressure) 3:63 rear end pinion gear available if different rear end gearing desired. K&N cold air cleaner added. Rebuilt front and rear suspension. control arms, Spings, shocks and rear leaf springs. Stainless steel magnaflow dual exhaust with cross over pipes. Ceramic plated exhaust headers. Vintage A/C just added. Blows cold air! Convertible top is manual but frame is a power lift top.
