Built like a Tiger, this is one fun ride! Owner by current owner for 40 years, this has been a rebuild of passion! Car was stripped to bare metal and built from top to bottom. Restoration was completed five years ago, with only 700 miles since completion.
Motor: Ford 302 V8 with Edelbrock Performer kit including cam, lifters, intake and carburetor, Cloyes roller chain cam drive, Mallory electronic distributor, Carter fuel pump and Melling high capacity oil pump. Cooling through a wide-core radiator with electric fan and external oil cooler. Exhaust is via Hooker headers similar to the Sunbeam LAT option Sanderson headers. Transmission is a Ford C4 automatic with recently replaced seals and Hurst shifter. There is a transmission leak from sitting.
Suspension: Front suspension and steering are Sunbeam Tiger components. Rear is E-Type Jaguar subframe. Wheels are 5.5 x 15” Dunlop chrome wire with knockoff hubs.
Body: Finished in beautiful British Racing Green with clear coat. There are two paint stress cracks at the cowl where the hood closes. The body is stock with front lower air dam and replica Sunbeam LAT option fiberglass hood. Bumpers have been rechromed.
Interior: Seats are saddle tan leather with new foam and springs. New Robinson top. Instrument panel and console are teak. Sun Speedo, tach and gauges. Controls are ford parts. All wiring harnesses are new. Radio is Alpine with four speakers and retractable antenna.
Tiger prices are through the roof. If you want the performance of a Tiger without breaking the bank, this could be the perfect sports car for you!
