Vehicle Description
Such a clean looking classic pickup! Its vintage form combined with subtle yet striking customization to turn heads, while rumbling big block power stands by to propel this 1968 Chevrolet C10 with gusto. This frame off restoration was as extensive as they come - a nice collection of photos is included to back it up - and was completed only a little while back, so this outstanding truck is ready to provide plenty of future chapters of asphalt memories for its next lucky owner. If you're looking for an example of vintage restoration done right, here it is. The quality on display is undeniable, starting with the slick and shiny red paint cloaked over the exterior - we're talking show quality here. Step up a little closer and you'll notice this C10's precise exterior alignment - the gaps surrounding its hood and doors look very precise and, from front to back, all body panels align really well. The slightly lowered stance offers a touch more aftermarket cachet yet still leaves enough wheel clearance to avoid any issues during everyday driving conditions. The glass surrounding the cab has a subtle tint to it, with front and rear windshields that are protected by all new seals. That eye-catching paint also serves as a very effective backdrop for the fresh chrome also on board - the bumpers both fore and aft as well as the grille trim and door handles all appear to have been recently added. Just as with the rest of the truck, no shortcuts were taken in bringing the interior to its current stellar state. Starting with the removal of nearly everything inside the doors, the cab was thoroughly coated with POR-15 rust protection before receiving an entirely new set of components, including the bench seat, door panels, dash pad, sun visors and carpeting. The steel surfaces inside were also color matched to blend in effectively with the new upholstery. You'll find a new set of AutoMeter gauges on hand beyond the steering wheel to keep tabs on vital motoring functions, an aftermarket climate control system to keep you and your passengers nice and comfortable regardless of the weather outside, and a seamlessly installed AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth connectivity to tend to your audio desires. A spray-in liner protects the bed area in back. There's a virtual Murderer's Row of top tier components lurking under the hood. Power comes via a 454 V8 that was bored out to add another 14 cubic inches before being equipped with a steel crank, Eagle rods, J&P forged pistons and a roller cam. The pair of Brodix aluminum heads at its sides, as well as the aluminum Edelbrock Victor Jr. high rise intake manifold and Holley 780 Double Pumper on top, take the powerplant's already abundant output to an even higher level, while the added HEI ignition maximizes available spark. Engines sporting this kind of displacement often suffer from a begrudging lag that can diminish their impact, but this one revs very quickly. In order to keep operating temperatures in check, a sizable aluminum radiator with a pair of electric cooling fans has been added up front. Rounding out the ultra-potent drivetrain is a 4-speed 700r4 transmission that teams with a 3.73 ratio rear end - a terrific combo for both g-force producing off the line acceleration and nice, low revs on the highway. Even this Chevy's stopping prowess is top notch - power brakes are at all four corners, with new drilled and slotted rotors up front and recently replaced drums in back. With smooth power steering and a front sway bar also added, this vintage pickup has surprising agility as it holds court on its set of 15" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wrapped with Kenectica Kenda tires. Looking great, running strong and impeccably equipped, this 1968 Chevrolet C10 is an absolute showstopper. Call today!
