Extensive restoration just completed February 2019 on this mild custom Impala SS. Car has never lived outside Arizona. First buyer purchased new from Brown & Hoeye Chevrolet in Mesa, AZ in 1968, and owned for 20 years. Second owner for 30 years. Straight, solid, zero rust, extremely well cared for. Clear Arizona title. Factory PS, PB, AC. VIN indicates manufacture in GM Fremont plant (Los Angeles). Born as a 327 SS, second owner did an engine swap for a big block about 14k miles ago. Top-to-bottom rebuilt motor, bored .30 over with roller rockers, domed piston heads, and a complete new Edelbrock Performer intake/carb package with comp cam. New TH 400 transmission. Starts right up from cold, runs strong, drives and brakes straight. MECHANICAL HIGHLIGHTS - Completely rebuilt big block - New TH 400 automatic transmission from Summit Racing - Edelbrock Performer Package intake and carb - Hedman headers - 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust with cross pipe - New Competition Performance front disc brake kit - Upgraded suspension including Moog coil springs, anti-sway bar, etc. - Fuel tank pulled, new sending unit installed - Factory AC converted to R134, blows cold - Upgraded 4-core radiator - Transmission fluid radiator - Many other replacements and upgrades under the hood - Just tuned up with new plugs, wires, etc. - Thick file of work and service history going back 30 years BODY/PAINT - Original body panels very straight before repaint, no dents or rust (have photos) - Solid frame, floor and trunk pans - Professional base/clear in classic Cortez Silver, looks sharp as is, or a blank template for personal customizing - Three days curing and drying, then a color sand/buff/polish - Original chrome bumpers and stainless trim removed and professionally hand-polished - New windshield. My undercarriage tech also did a full engine bay detail. INTERIOR Surprisingly mint original vinyl seats, door panels, dash, and dash pad with no cracks. New foam and silver vinyl seating surfaces front and rear match body paint, looks sharp! New cut pile carpet over new Fat Mat sound insulation. Flawless original headliner, visors, and package tray. Original factory center console and horseshoe shifter. Period-correct cherry wood steering wheel. All gauges, signal lights, courtesy lights, and environmental controls are functional except clock.
