Compared to its rivals of the day, it was a smaller car but was offered with a big, 315 horsepower, 390 cubic inch motor. Let's just say it was hard to keep up with one in any other vehicle. The example offered here is an award winner, the staple of a local collection, and has just 5,279 original miles and remains all original. This 1969 AMC AMX is finished in factory original Bittersweet Orange (code 79A) paint over the original Saddle (code 936F) interior. It remains original from top to bottom. The paint, which appears like a Copper color, shows characteristics of factory paint of that time period. It is a non clear coat metallic and shows typical factory orange peel, but overall remains in excellent original condition. The fit and finish on the body panels are clean and accident free. Original chrome and trim are also flawless. On the inside you'll find a time capsule. Highlights include all original upholstery, original carpeting, original headliner, original headrests, AM radio, 8000rpm tachometer, floor stick shift with reverse lock out, and a 140mph speedometer.
