Vehicle Description
One of the most famous and desirable of all the great high performance packages available in the muscle car era is the 1969 Camaro Z/28. It's one of those cars that was created to comply with racing rules, in this case Trans Am racing. A car with a racing pedigree will deliver the goods, and of course the Z/28 does. With a wink and a nod, the DZ code 302 small block was rated at 290 horsepower. And it could wind out to some serious RPM levels. The lightweight small block engine created a well balanced car that could really handle. In fact, the Camaro was marketed as "The Hugger" due to its tenacious cornering prowess. This example is fantasy land. It's a magmificent rotisserie restoration. The first thing you'll notice is it's Hugger Orange. With the white stripes and black interior, the color combo is spot on. Then, there's a special bonus. It's a Rally Sport! Not often seen in a Z/28, the Rally Sport package includes the distinctive hideaway headlights that have become a trademark. The look is complete with the rally wheels and Goodyear Wide Tread GT tires. To verify the authenticity of this amazing Z/28, the car comes with complete photos documenting the engine, transmission and rear end stamps and codes before the restoration got started. They show that the car was worthy of the most thorough rotisserie restoration. The legendary DZ 302 looks majestic to those in the know, complete with the forced induction air cleaner. It couples with the hood to provide a big gulp of cold air to the carb for maximum engine performance. And the detailing in the engine room is outstanding right down to the markings and a correct AC Delco battery. The interior is a treasure trove as well. The black bucket seats are trimmed handsomely with white stitching. All the original gauges are in place, including the factory tach. With the way this Hugger Orange 1969 Rally Sport Z/28 Camaro is equipped, and with all the documentation to go with it, this is a hard combination to beat.
