Located in Texas Shipping Available This is my 1969 Mercury Cougar convertible for sale. When I bought this car a year ago, I didn't really choose it, rather, it chose me. Ask me about that when you come out to look at it- it's an interesting story. I own several other vintage cars, so I am familiar with the territory and I'll give my best shot at an accurate snapshot of the car. Two of the best attributes of this car is the fact that it's a convertible (only 14,000 were made in '69 and '70) and it's a California car which means minimal rust. In fact, you can still see the factory spot welds on the rockers. The car has been restored, mostly by the previous owner. It used to be metallic blue, but now is maroon. The convertible top and motor are new as well as window and door gaskets. Interior has new carpet, new dash, new leather on all seats, and a made to look vintage radio with things like bluetooth and other modern capabilities. The engine has been rebuilt with larger intake manifolds and my mechanic and I believe it is the 351 V8. Transmission has also had a recent rebuild and the starter was just replaced last month.
