Here we have the legendary Pontiac GTO, 1969 edition. This is a true GTO with its original YS 400 cubic inch motor topped with a Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor putting its factory rated 350 horsepower to the ground through a 3 speed Turbohydromatic 400 transmission and positrac rear axle. This car will flat get it. GTO's weren't all about muscle, they were comfortable and well equipped with a usable back seat and large trunk. This GTO is loaded with full instrumentation, AM/FM stereo, power steering, power disc brakes, console shift, hideaway headlights, rally wheels and factory AC. This car was restored some years ago in (non original) Carousel Red and handsome black interior with wood trim. Under the hood it retains its stock appearance. Everything is in good working order. The car starts easily and rolls smooth. It steers and stops as it should and cruises down the interstate without drama. Under heavy foot however, it comes alive; able to leave two long black stripes on the pavement and a respectable chirp into second gear. The transmission kicks down and the car sounds great without being too loud. This car has been on the road since its restoration 7 years ago. It has collected a few rockchips and very minor scuffs but nothing to keep it from taking home a trophy at a local or regional car show. It presents extremely well and drives even better.
