Vehicle Description 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. I am proud to present this excellent example of a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. This car is a true survivor from the past. All engine, transmission, and rear-end numbers are correct and matching. This is an investment quality car. There is no rust at all, anywhere on this; car! This car has spent much of its life in Bakersfield California, which for those that are not familiar with that location it is a very dry climate. Of the years it was in Bakersfield it sat stored in the back of a garage up on blocks, for at least 10 years time, maybe longer.; It was then sold to a gentleman in San Diego California who revived the car to driver status. The engine was pulled and resealed, an Edlebrock carburetor was installed, all suspension bushings were replaced, all shocks replaced with high-quality Bilsteins, all springs replaced with heavier duty units - the rear springs included airbag suspension, new heavy-duty sway bars were switched with the stock swaybars, new BFG tires and American racing alloys were installed, a full alignment was performed, and anything mechanical that was not up to par was rebuilt or replaced. The car was then used as a weekend driver. With the very little use this car has seen over the years it has only accumulated 85,914 actual miles (not 185,914 miles). Now fully evolved as a muscle car, engineers gave the Olds heavy-duty springs, stabilizer bar, special shock absorbers and wheels, special emblems, hood louvers, unique paint stripe, special tires, and a high output engine.
