Vehicle Description
A Beautifully restored, rare 1970 Opel GT with factory A/C with its completely rebuilt and documented 1900 CC engine including several performance enhancements & its fully, professionally rebuilt transmission including new synchros, seals & Clutch.
Starting with a nice, straight, dry, rust free South Dakota car, this GT was fully restored in 2013 and 2014 with body and paint work being done separately from the professional engine & transmission rebuild.
With the paint complete, new weatherstripping was installed everywhere, suspension was rebushed with poly bushings, control arm bushings and 4 Koni shock absorbers were added. The car was fitted with a new fuse panel, halogen headlights, electric in line fuel pump, a new starter, a cored radiator, New water pump, hoses and battery. The car is fitted with Keystone Sunspoke III 13 x 5.5 wheels and Kuhmo performance radial tires.
The The engine rebuild included larger valves with hardened exhaust valve seats, new pistons, new bearings, new timing chain and gears, solid lifters, and an Isky performance cam and was then balanced. A Weber 32/36 DGEV carburetor with electric choke & heat shield was added as well as a new brake master cylinder. The car was reassembled with ALL new chrome front and rear bumpers, all new lamps and lenses, all new emblems, mirrors, washer nozzles, license plate lights, rear exhaust & more.
This is far & away one of the nicest, restored GTs I have seen & driven.
The car runs and drives extremely well, it's quick, handles well and has no current needs. Please feel free to contact me for more pictures, videos or information and visit my website Eurospec.website
