America has witnessed significant events that have elevated certain cars to pop-culture iconic status. The motor's healthy appetite is fed with an electric fuel pump, and Hooker Headers rapidly scavenge the gases from the cylinders to make room for more fuel. A powerful big block makes heat, so a big aluminum radiator and twin electric fans do the job up front. The result is instant response and a beefy get-out-of-my-way sound. The four-speed automatic transmission is ably controlled by a B&M racing style shifter. It's a ratchet unit with reverse lockout, but it also looks killer in the center console. The interior is simply top-notch. The two-tone beige leather upholstery would look right at home in a high-end exotic, but the main thing is that it's supremely comfortable. It's the kind of thing that just feels right instantly when you get in. It pampers you with air conditioning, tilt wheel, power windows, power locks, and a sound system with components from JL Audio, Focal, and Pioneer and almost as much power as the 454. Dakota Digital analog gauges look fantastic and are very accurate. But the driving pleasure is more than luxury. Sure, there's plenty of power, but the chassis is reinforced to keep things under control. It sports a Hotchkis rear suspension and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes - and traction control! All this and it's a convertible too! The top is a beautifully crafted cloth piece with a glass rear window. And there's a matching parade boot as well.
