Vehicle Description
These days you can buy a C10 in just about any condition. On the far end of “rode hard and put away wet,” is this laser straight, show quality 1971 Chevy C10 shortbed. The truck is completely restored from top to bottom and drives like a dream. Drive it, show it, do what you want, but no matter what you do, you’ll know you have the nicest one around. The body on the truck has been expertly restored back to a condition that is far nicer than these trucks were when they were new. The panels have been long blocked to produce very straight, wave-free panels. The truck is finished in Dupont Hot Hues Copper and the clear coat has been wet sanded and buffed to remove the orange peel. All of the glass on the truck is new, and the stainless and chrome have all been replaced. Also new are all the rubber seals, window felts and rubber body bushings. The undercarriage and engine compartment are clean enough to eat off of with more of that Hot Hues Copper. The frame of the truck was sandblasted and powder coated prior to reassembly, as were all of the suspension components. The truck rides on CPP lowering springs and uses a CPP panhard bar, and CPP sway bar. The C10 has all new ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar end links, and control arm bushings. The shocks are new and all of the brakes lines and brake hoses have been replaced as well. Power comes from a mildly built 350CI that runs nice and cool! The engine uses an Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock intake, Comp Cam, and coated headers that flow through a Magnaflow exhaust system. Spark comes from an HEI distributor. The engine runs great on 91 or 93 pump gas and has been updated for use with modern fuel. The tranny is a Turbo 350 and the rear gears are 3.08. The truck drives awesome at 70 MPH down the freeway! The interior features all new soft parts, a mild custom seat, new gauges, and a Classic AutoSound stereo. Last but not least, you can keep cool with the Vintage Air components all summer long.
