Under the large, forward-hinged bonnet is a turbocharged Ford V-8 motor that has a newly rebuilt top end and a rebuilt turbocharger in the last 6 months. This Jaguar is a power beast and performs and sounds like a cat on steroids! Built in Coventry, England, this car is one of 15,290 E-Type Series III models made between 1971 and 1975. Finished in British Racing Green, the car's paint and trim are in overall very good order, however there are blemishes on the driver's side of the rear deck and a dimple in the bonnet. The car's bodywork is solid and straight, the custom engine bay is in very good order while the black, folding top is in good, original shape. The chrome bladed bumpers are in good, original order but there are scuffs on the rear one. More details on the turbocharged V-8 include: Vortech water-cooled intercooler, Turbonetics intake pressure plenum, Turbonetics wastegate, MSD ignition with a boost retard dial in cockpit, custom turbo headers, cold-air intake and for cooler denser air for the turbocharger. The engine breathes through the original quad exhausts. Backing this engine is a three-speed automatic transmission with a Hurst shifter. This example also has front-wheel disc brakes and the original coil-over rear end with inboard disc brakes.
