Our 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Sunroof Coupe was sold new in Germany and reportedly remained with the original owner until 1975. The car was acquired by the second owner in 1975 before it was imported to the USA. (Beverly Hills, California) Designated by the Mercedes factory as a W111 coupe, the '71 3.5 benefited from a comprehensive restoration a few years ago that included a full engine and drivetrain rebuild. Its build sheet, factory tool kit and a clean California title in the seller’s name are provided with the sale. This Blue-Plate California 3.5 Coupe still retains its European headlamps, tail-lamps and registers in kilometers. Painted in Dark Bronze Metallic Brown over Speckled Cognac. A Behr A/C under dash unit was installed by a dealer in Germany by the second owner, which is a rare and desirable option for a European car.
