Vehicle Description
This 1972 Chevrolet El Camino SS is in Sequoia Green with Black. In 1968 sales for the popular El Camino went up by 20%, thanks for the redesigned A-Body platform. Sales continued to soar into 1972, the last year for the Coke-bottle shaped Chevelle body, with over 57,000 unit produced. With popularity of the American V8 engines on the rise, the El Camino had a run of small and big block engines that pleased the masses beginning in 1969. The four-speed manual transmission paired with the healthier optioned 350-cid/270hp 4bbl or the 402-cid/300hp 4bbl made it a force to be reckoned with on the road. Our subject 1972 Chevrolet Custom El Camino was originally fitted with the 350-cid/270hp 4bbl V8 and constructed in Los Angeles, CA. The car was purchased out of San Diego. Since then, the car has gone through a substantial power plant upgrade and a full restoration that can be enjoyed today. Presented in its original colors of Sequoia Green over Black interior. Currently fitted with very comfortable bucket seats, but also is accompanied with the original bench seat. Car is also tastefully done with original SS styled gauges, vinyl bed cover and a pioneer faceplate and speaker system. Edelbrock aluminum valve covers and heads, 427-cid small block V8 balanced and blue printed, aluminum headers. Motor is putting out about 650HP. 700 Turbo R automatic transmission, duel Holly carbs and electronic ignition. Staggered American Racing rims and front heavy duty disc brakes. Current & Optional Equipment · 4-Speed Manual Transmission · Air Conditioner · AM/FM Radio · Bucket Seats · Power Steering · Speed Control · Headrests · Heater/Defroster · Tilt Steering Wheel · Vinyl Roof Cover This El Camino has been here locally on the Monterey Peninsula for the last 15 years.
