Vehicle Description
Meet Popeye, a 1972 Chevy K10 Step Side 4x4 pickup. This truck received a frame off restoration to a very high driver quality standard. Refinished in Olive Oil Green the paint job is just one of the strengths of this truck as is a very tidy interior with fresh upholstery, carpet and headliner. This truck presents extremely well. Thanks in part to a new Painless Wiring harness kit, everything is in working order; running lights, taillights and back up lights are bright LED. A Retrosound AM/FM Aux head unit is installed that looks and sounds great. Other than that, its a pretty stock truck. There is no AC currently installed in this truck. Popeye gets his spinach from a not original 350 crate motor, 4-barrel Edelbrock carb and dual Flowmaster exhaust. There is nothing Whimpy about it, it runs strong in front of a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Its got a 210 rear end and the transfer case and locking hubs work as they should. I recently installed a fresh exhaust system to replace what was pretty tired with aggressive but not too loud sounding flow master mufflers (not shown in the undercarriage shots in the gallery). It rolls on nice 15" Rally Wheels clad with fresh and meaty 31"x 10.5" BF Goodrich All Terrains that would make Brutus proud. This was originally a long bed truck that was professionally shortened. Its laser straight and powder coated frame is now stronger than the original. It rolls straight down the road; accelerates, steers and stops perfectly. Power steering and power (front disc) brakes. This is neither a show truck nor a high performance restomod. Its got a few imperfections here and there and it still rides like a 4x4 truck, but isn't that the point of it? Popeye likes to say, "I y'am what I y'am"; a good ole honest '72 Chevy that could easily serve as your daily driver or weekend mudder and still pick up a trophy at a local car show. This truck is located in Rowlett, Texas and is offered as is where is. Texas residents may be subject to tax and fees. Lowballers, scammers, sales assistants and all you "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" folks need not apply. Trades considered. No boats, bikes or planes please. Call text or reply.
