Vehicle Description
This 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible in original condition, even has original spare tire. Powered by Rocket 350 V8 with a Turbo Hydramatic 350 Tranny. Painted in Covert Beige with Saddle interior. The Supreme came standard with front buckets seats; map and courtesy lights; body side, rocker panel, and wheel moldings; lap seat belts; vinyl wood trim; and carpet. This Cutlass is equipped with the Super Stock II wheels, air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. The Cutlass starts up strong, runs great, and drives smooth. A great weekend cruiser. This Cutlass was owned by the same family until 2002. The first owner owned Steel City Oldsmobile in Birminham, Alabama (whose father started in 1939). They bought it when they heard the convertible would be discontinued after 1972. It was a family car for years and was eventualy put into the garage basement for storage until 1995, when the family moved and couldn't store the car any longer. At that point, with 64.8k miles, they sold the car to their niece who kept up with and maintained it until 2002, they kept extensive service records from 95-02. In 2002 with 72.4k miles it was then sold to a gentlemen in Townson, Maryland. He has one big service record on the car when he first bought it and that is it. Luckily the next owner, from The Woodlands, Texas, bought it two years later in 2004 with only 2.2k more miles (so now 74.6k miles) and he kept extremely good records. He is the one that put together the binders you see in the photos. He also aquired an original owner's manual, and CD of the OEM shop manual. Then in June of 2013 it was sold to our client with 78.3k miles on it, which it still shows today. Our client is a large collector and and he runs all of his vehicles, but they are barely driven. The car was even stored in a bubble. The sale of this vehicle comes with documentation of ownership, full service records since 1995, factory build sheet, all the books, manuals, service books, and more. Two sets of original keys on a Steel City Oldsmobile key chain also come with the sale. There is also a Certificate of Appraisal on the car dated 8/2/1995 and showing 64.8k miles that was done when given from the original owner to the niece. The car seems to be in the exact same condition down to the notation of a small dent by the driver headlight. It also notes the top is new and the paint is original and unfaded. They also note it is one of the best unrestored cars of it's age they have ever seen.
