Vehicle Description
Some images are iconic in the hot rod world. For example, the cover of the July 1970 edition of Hot Rod Magazine features Bill Jenkins' all-new Pro Stock Camaro. It's white with the split bumpers and it's performing a perfect wheelstand. The image was impactful because the new Camaro was a radical redesign that would represent Camaro styling for years to come. This 1973 model is striking in its "Camaro-ness." It has the Brilliant White paint of a "Grumpy's Toy" with the addition of SS or Pace Car stripes in -- what else? -- Hugger Orange. Under the appropriate functional cowl induction type scoop lurks a hopped up 350 with just the right sound. The 4-barrel carb sits between an Edelbrock Intake and a giant K&N Air Cleaner. An MSD ignition assures that all the candles stay lit, and a set of tuned headers dump into big dual pipes with Flowmaster mufflers. Some extra care was taken with the pulley system. It's all polished billet and includes a polished A/C compressor. Inside is a beautiful pair of black bucket seats in an all-business stock interior. Two upgrades are the performance shifter and a Kenwood stereo.
