Vehicle Description
1973 Pontiac Grand Prix 400 Presented By; GARRETT CLASSICS classic and collector car sales and consignment 1865 McGee Lane, Ste F Lewisville, TX 75077 call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 We haven't seen many Grand Prixs in the 14 years we've been selling classics, but here we have a really nice example of a very original 1973. The current owner is believed to be the 4th owner and has taken very good care of the survivor. The vinyl top and most of the paint are original. It looks like there may have been some touch up on the paint in the drivers door area. FEATURES INCLUDE; 400 ci X5 code Engine 4bbl 230hp GM Hydromatic 3 Speed Automatic Transmission Power Steering Power Brakes (Discs Front ,Drums Rear) Power Windows Power Seat Ralley Wheels Upgraded Radio w/ Aux plug in for IPod Mesa Tan This car is a pleasure to drive. We took it out for videos and photos on a beautiful Texas day and the a/c worked just fine with no overheating at all. All the gauges were working as well as the newer radio with IPod connection. The owner was told the interior was mostly original, but it appears that the carpet and possibly door panels are new. The dash and package tray are free from cracks and fading. The 60,902 miles is said to be original. It looks like the wood grain on the dash may have been replaced at some point. Overall, the interior is very nice. Without knowing all of the owners of a car, it is very hard to know what was done to it. The fact is, partially restored or not, this is an incredible car. You would be proud to show it as a survivor or just enjoy driving it. The interior is in excellent condition. The current owner said that the previous owner at some point painted the engine block and the wheels gold. You could assume that the engine was removed and possibly some restoration was done at the time. We don't know that for sure though. There is an original battery tray and an air breather included. One of the things we noticed about the car is that there is no sign of rust around the bottom of the vinyl top where it meets the body. This is the first place you usually see rust on a car with a vinyl top. The undercarriage is very solid with no signs of rust. The exhaust system has been updated. The Grand Prix set a new record production in 1973 with 150,000 units built. There are a few tiny touch up areas on the car, but as mentioned before the paint is mostly original. Again, please feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with questions. We would also be happy to assist you with information on financing if you wish.
