Vehicle Description
This striking 1973 911E 2.4 Sunroof Coupe is in Bahia Red with Black and was sold new by the French importer Sonauto. Early 911`s are rare finds today among collector cars. They have unparalleled drivability and usability, especially when compared with other cars of the same vintage. The late cars (1972 and 1973), which are fitted with 2.4-liter engines, are very desirable and are generally regarded to be the ultimate development of the original `long hood` 911. The 911E was the middle model of the 911 line, featuring mechanical fuel injection for more power and drivability than the 911T, but a less peaky motor than the 911S. Just 1366 911E coupes were built for 1973. Available for immediate inspection and purchase is this clean and honest 1973 911E 2.4 Sunroof Coupe is dressed in Bahia Red over Black leather interior and was sold new by the French importer, Sonauto in April of 1973. Engine type 911/52 Engine no. *6231608* Transmission type 915 Transmission no. 7338814 Options included: Power Windows (651) Sliding Roof (650) Comfort Package (470) Colored Windows (568) Desirable S Gages Front Spoiler Paperwork includes an email confirmation from Porsche stating that this 911 is all matching numbers, both engine and transmission. Strong running, the engine rev’s freely through the range and good syncro’s in all gears. Clutch release is good and even small details like the manual throttle works as it should proves how honest this car is. Restored in 2003/2004 in Europe by French specialist Jean Buser and finished in its original Bahia Red Glasurit (color code 022). The car was then imported from France in 2016 to an enthusiastic collector in Colorado. The 911E changed hands in 2018 to its current ownership here on the Monterey Peninsula. Currently showing 136,622 KM's from new, this well-equipped car has sound suspension, tight running gear and brakes, quality shut lines and treated to a high quality repaint during its restoration. Interior has benefited from new headliner, carpets and re-done seats, new sun visors and what looks to be original well-preserved door panels and door pockets. Period radio is installed along with factory Metric S gauges. Date coded seat belts pair with matching date-coded 15" Fuchs and H1 Headlights. Overall this is a great running and driving 911E with excellent ownership over the years. A striking car, ready to enjoy.
