Used 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SL for sale in Cadillac, MI

1974 Mercedes Benz 450SL Convertible - The car is an extremely 'clean' car. I've been the third owner and like the previous owners, have always kept the car garaged, except when it's driven in the warmer months. It's never seen snow and has rarely seen rain. Essentially rust-free. I've driven it maybe 500 miles every summer, but I haven't really driven it for the past four years, except to start it up in Spring and Fall, and run it around for a few miles to make certain everything's okay. Since we bought it in 2007, we had a near-restoration quality exterior renovation, including new paint. In a word, it's gorgeous! I also added like-new black leather seats -including the rare drivers' side armrest -and have protected them with Benz black sheepskin covers. The engine has been diligently well-maintained for decades. New battery, new fuel delivery system, new brake lines, new brakes, good tires, new shocks, new front end parts and shiny chrome wire wheels. The engine runs great, but it has a small transmission fluid leak that I've not bothered to fix. The heater isn't connected (blew a hose a couple years ago), but since I've only driven it in good weather, I've not bothered to tackle the fix. I don't drive it in the winter, so who needs it?) Same with the cruise control. Othwise, everything is more than good to go. Last year, I replaced the stock radio with a newer AM/FM/CD unit that's iPod compatible, and put in new speakers at the same time. Also put in a new pad under the hood. It comes with a very good soft top -no rips, no tears, no leaks -and a matching hard top with rear window defroster.(This has a little rust on it from sitting in the garage for 10 years. It also comes with a custom-made CarJacket I've used for winter storage. This is basically a great big bag that zips and seals around the car, enclosing it completely, and protecting it from rust, corrosion, moisture, dust, dirt, and insects.
