Vehicle Description
********** Vehicle being upgraded - not for sale right now - will be later this year or April/May 2019 *********** One of 2914 T/A's in 1974 with the 400 Auto. I bought this T/A 20 years ago and had the body restored to show car quality, then i wasn't satisfied with the "stock" performance of the motor so i modified so it ran like a raped ape!!! But still very streetable. I have showed this T/A at the TransAm Nationals (Dayton, OH) in '01, '02 and '04. Because of all of the engine mods I was placed in the custom category, which is where everyone spends 30K in chrome..... This car truly turns heads on the road and when i stop anywhere it's like instant car show, because folks come out of the woodwork just to check it out. Anyways let me tell you a bit about what I have done to this T/A. -Engine Built by Victory Engines - Cleveland, Ohio - they specialize in race engines. 400 - 40 over Keith Black Forged Pistons Eagle Rods - Forged Crankshaft - Balanced - oil galley holes opened and chambered Entire Assy Balanced Block Hone Drilled for true precision Cylinders were bored with a torque plate - will not warp under any conditions Intake - Edelbrock Torker II - additional porting to match the heads Crane Cam - with the roller rockers that have 1.65 lift the intake is .520 exhaust is .537 + duration is 296/304 # 13 Ram Air Heads from SD Performance - ported Hooker Headers High Flow Oil Pump Distributor curved by Gelner Engineering to 36 degrees - mech advance only 10:1 Compression Demon 750 Carb - Awesome on this motor - does not hesitate or stall when going from full throttle to idle Holley External Fuel Pump Fuel Pressure regulator - set to 6psi MSD ignition and Rev Limiter Temp Controller - Not wired 3 inch exhaust - high flow mufflers - Body Restored by Classic Connection Auto Body - John Bartley owner - famous for his show winning 55 - 57 ford Thunderbird's Midnight Blue color from 94 Lamborghini color - this color when looked at different angles will look anywhere from blue to purple to dark blue to black, like i said i see folks breaking their necks to look at this car on the road and have been offered $$$$$ on the spot multiple times for this car, I turned them all down. The front bumper does need minor - touch up paint Car did originally have Hurst Hatches (T-Tops) which i still have, when i bought the car the roof was rusted and John had to cut the old roof off and weld on a new complete roof. -Transmission - TH-400 Auto Built by Falcone's Transmission - Lakewood Ohio - again well know for his knowledge of what was needed for this powerplant. Stage III shift kit External trans cooler Summit Trans pan w/fluid drain hole (so you don't have to take the whole pan down to do a fluid change 12 Gear Sprauge gear out of and old Cadillac - old school stuff - this trans can easily handle 800+ HP - no sweat. Multi-Performance 3000 Stall convertor - will drive just like a normal car when you want it to, and will rev and lock when you step on it. -Other Stuff I have full documentation of the engine build, most aftermarket parts, wiring diagrams, Holley books, maintenance manual, etc... Flow sheet for heads, Cam specs, lots of stuff here. Holley 750 CFM carb - like new with performance upgrade Traction Bars - painted same color as the body - Competition Engineering Poly Urethane Bushings - all suspension parts upgraded - everything!!! New Front lowering springs New Ball Joints New interior Carpet Bucket Seats - original - good shape - could use some re-piping - very comfortable. Hi-Torque Starter - not susceptible to over heating conditions like the stock starter New sub-frame bushings and bolts - entire car has been aligned on a laser alignment rack B+M Shifter - slap shift model - Nice Interior in very good to good shape - the dash does have cracks - i placed a dash pad on their and never got to replacing the dash because I was more concerned with drive-ability and performance than the dash. - More Stuff 2 extra heads - 6x extra divers door and glass A/C system from the original car and ducting - I never drive the car in the rain, or extreme heat or when it is freezing cold. Rally II Wheels Kenwood (new) stereo with CD player and external stereo plug output (for your MP3 or iPhone's) External amp in the trunk - believe it is a 300 Watt model Subwoofer in the trunk Extra 400 Crankshaft - magafluxed - and clean/true Original Pistons, connecting rods, valves for the heads mentioned above, etc, etc....I have lots on Pontiac parts i am willing to throw into this sale. Wow that was alot to list - This car has been my baby for 20 years and now I am willing to let go of her, I am pretty much solid on the asking price...if you figure what i have into this beast... Engine - labor 5K Parts - 8K Trans - parts and labor 4.5K Body Work and Paint - BTW 6 coats clear - 7K --- a pint of this color cost 150$ Body Parts from Year One - 2.5K Other improvements - 3 - 4 K That is over 28K i have invested in this beauty. Labor of love I guess??? This engine is built proof - you could take it out and drop it into a race car and do just fine for a long while. Sounds AWESOME!!!!!! --- SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE ----
