Vehicle Description
This car was restored/rebuilt by Fantomworks of Norfolk, Va. In 2018. The car was featured in two episodes, now seen in reruns on the Discovery channel. Body panels were were all aligned and finished in bright yellow with black trim. The nose was extended over the front bumper for aerodydynamic effect. The roof was reinforced with steel plates to better support the attached gullwing doors. A rear spoiler is attached to the trunk lid. Pneumatic door actuators were replaced with modern electric actuators.
The 351 cu.in. Ford Windsor engine has been fuel injected. Air conditioned and a new am/fm was added. New black upholstery and carpets complete the interior.
