Vehicle Description
This car epitomizes all that is good about the time when cars actually had style combined with the dependability and power of a modern engine. It is set to provide nostalgic cruises or could be a show car or daily driver. The Classic: The 1975 model year was the last for the better looking round headlights that John Delorean designed to echo the lines of a Jaguar sedan. 1975 also is the first year for the improved tail-light design. This “S” model is loaded with, to my knowledge, almost all the options including: Swivel bucket seats, power windows, floor shifter with console, intermittent wipers, cruise control, posi-trac rear end, heavy duty springs, air conditioning, rallye wheels and the “auxiliary lighting group” (trunk light, map light, under-hood light). It does not have the remote trunk release, power locks or sunroof options. The New: the heart of the car is the LS-3 GM crate engine with new 4L70-E four speed electronic transmission. Other upgrades include new stainless steel baffled fuel tank with in-tank pump, a retro-look radio with remote CD player and auxiliary inputs, upgraded trunk liner with underfloor storage, new shocks and polyethylene bushings. Other than the quad-tip exhaust, the car looks stock on the outside. Other than the new cruise control lever, it looks stock on the inside. The Experience: With only 66,000 actual miles on it, this is a beautiful example of GM styling and cruising. It drives marvelously around town but opens up when you want to feel the power. It starts no matter what the temperature and runs seamlessly.
