Very Rare & Nice: 1977 Mercury Model: Comet 2-door: Engine: 302-2V Transmission: C-4 automatic. Rear End: Gear ratio 2:79, Size: 8” Factory A/C (Cold R-12 system). P/S Exterior: Factory Option: 2-Tone paint: Baby Blue & Mark Met. Blue, Original Vinyl top, Optional Factory trim/molding package, includes sport (Remote drivers side only) mirrors, Sport Rims with beauty rings. All Emblems are in place & new gas cap. The first new windshield & rubber since purchased in 1977 (Installed on 3/21/14). All front end bushings replaced with urethane a year ago. Replaced all old hydraulic shocks with New “KYB” gas shocks for a better ride. Interior: Option Factory Interior Package: Vinyl & cloth seats: Split Bench front seat, Factory rear seating, and Carpet thru-out. Removed standard AM radio with “NEW” updated AM/FM/CD player, with 2-4” round speakers in kick panels, 2-6” X 9” speakers in rear deck lid. The History of car: This car was purchased “Brand New” off the showroom floor by my grandparents. My grandparents where getting to the point of not feeling comfortable in driving anymore due to their age. At about the same time my Mom had her car stolen in Texas. So at that point they gave this car to her on stipulation that if she didn’t need or want it anymore the car would come back to me (family).
