Vehicle Description
One of the last 50 ever made! A true one family, untouched original survivor, won’t find one anywhere this nice! Looks like it did 41 years ago when it came off the line! One of the most rare/hard to find Cadillacs. Collectors/Investors this one is for you! Same family since new 9,400 original miles Original books, manuals, stickers Extremely rare AstroRoof, 1 of 475 made The most expensive Cadillac made in 1978, the last year of the big Eldorados. 41 years ago a wealthy businessman/car collector in Pennsylvania ordered this Caddy, it rolled off the factory in July ‘78 the last month of production! This is one of the final 50! The owner ordered it knowing it was going to be a rare collector. He added every available option, putting the price over $18,000. The average car price in the U.S in ‘78 was around $4,000. This was the most expensive Cadillac made that year. He kept it stored in his large heated “car barn” for its entire life. It has never seen rain, sleet or snow. It was only driven in nice weather months, short distances to keep everything in working order. He has passed away and the family is now selling his collection. The Caddy is completely original, the exterior has never been re-painted or even buffed, only hand washed. It is as close to perfect as you can get. The chrome is still shiny and gorgeous. The interior literally still looks and smells new. I don’t think anyone ever rode in any of the passenger seats. The Eldorado drives like a new car, it’s the real deal, a true time capsule. The values of big body Eldorados are just starting to substantially climb. They will never make automobiles like this again, this rare and final Eldorado will explode in value over the next 10 years. Extremely nice examples like this are valued around $40k- $50k. One at Barrett-Jackson Auction just went for $39k and it wasn’t as rare as this one. This is priced to sell quickly.
