Porsche’s 911 was being made steadily better and more refined during the 1970s, and especially so with the SC generation in 1978. The new 3.0 engine was another step ahead and the cars were very popular through the end of their run in 1983. Consequently, many were driven a lot and today wear 180,000-mile odometers. Appreciated for their classic good looks, reliable mechanicals and affordable maintenance, we try to grab every low-mile one we find. This unusual Wine Red Metallic sunroof coupe has an excellent history with ownership that culminated in a complete, rotisserie restoration by a marque specialist in the Southeast. The car was restored in its original special-order color, including the tan leather—not vinyl—accented by matching carpets and dark brown dash.
