1983 CJ7 with Hardtop, doors and AC! Smooth Riding! Original paint, restomod with air conditioning and all new tan interior. This Jeep has been set up for simplicity and modern convenience. Less than 5k miles on a GM GoodWrench crate 350 V8 with a TBI fuel injection system. The GM V8 power plant was chosen for reliability, power and simplicity. A matched Howell TBI system was installed because of its proven ability to be a reliable and simple system to maintain, repair and diagnose. It has a custom exhaust system beginning with stainless headers coming off the engine that has been tuned to keep the exhaust note quiet in the interior. The engine, transmission, and transfer case are all mated up and controlled with Novak adapter plates and controls. The transmission is an AX-15, 5 speed manual with over drive that was used by Jeep from 1988 to 1999 and is regarded as one of the toughest and most reliable transmissions that has ever been put in a Jeep. The transmission is also fitted with a B&M short throw shifter. The Dana 300 transfer case, one of the toughest ever put in a Jeep, has been set up with twin stick controls for precise gear selectability. Correct speedo gears were installed for accurate MPH on the dash. The axles have both been rebuilt with all new bearings, brakes, calipers and seals. The front axle is a Dana 35 which was upgraded with SuperWinch 4X4 locking hubs. The AMC 20 rear axle was upgraded to the one piece axle set up. The drive shafts were custom made and matched to the drive train setup. All U-Joints and starps were replaced with new components. Tires are 33 x 12.50 x 15 MT Baja Claws on Summit Racing Nomad wheels, with a full size matching spare. The tires have less than 5k miles on them and plenty of tread life left. The electrical system was completely removed and all components were replaced new. All the gauges in the dash were removed and replaced with new or upgraded gauges.A Painless wiring harness was installed. The headlights, taillights, and dash lights were all upgraded to LED. A custom 50" LED light bar was installed above the windshield, rear LED spotlights were installed in the bumper and all components are controlled from the dash from an integrated rocker switch control pod as well as USB charging ports and a digital ampmeter. A hidden kill switch also ensures the Jeep stays where you left it. A custom mounted Optima Deep Cycle Yellow Top battery powers it all. The jeep comes with both a hard top and soft top. It has hard doors that work with both the soft top and hard top. The Bestop soft top is in brand new condition having only been fitted and then stored. Windows for the soft top were the tinted option. The rear lift gate hatch on the hard top was recently replaced with a new metal hatch and all seals were replaced and modern lift struts were installed to replace the original factory struts on the liftgate. The seals and felts on both doors were all replaced. The doors have new interior panels and Michou upgraded interior door pulls and arm rests. A factory style air conditioning system from JeepAir.com was recently installed and blows ice cold. The heater core was replaced with a new core and the entire system was sealed up water tight. The blower motor on the heater was also upgraded to the larger GM blower motor so it moves about 3Xs more air than the factory motor setup. The Tuffy center locking console holds the bluetooth radio receiver, pairable with any bluetooth device. All of the seats were recently replaced as part of a total interior overhaul. Front and rear seats are all matching Bestop seats. The seatbelts are all new and OEM spec. Carpet was added to the interior and was custom order to include the mass backing for extra sound absorption and temperature control. The roll bar cover and padding was replaced to match the new seats. Wedge speaker boxes with new speakers were fitted between the roll bar and rear wheel well. The entire interior bed was sprayed with Raptor liner before putting in the carpet so the Jeep can run with or without carpet and still look and function good. The suspension has an upgraded with a 2.5" YJ Old Man Emu lift, which is the most comfortable, stable and driveable suspension available for a CJ. All new custom made shocks were installed as well as bomb proof greasable shackle hangers. The steering box was upgraded to an AGR performance steering box, mounted on a HD mount, with a Borgeson HD steering shaft. The front bumper holds an 8,000 lb Warn winch on a Warn mounting plate paired with a classic Smittybilt D-Ring front bumper. The rear bumper is a Olympic double tube rear bumper with an integrated 2" receiver hitch. Exterior Torx bolts were all swapped out for high strength stainless steel. The body is in good shape. NO rusted out panels. The Jeep has its original paint, Metallic Copper.
