Vehicle Description
The second longest-running generation of Camaro, the third generation Camaro is a polarizing design: either you love it or you don't. These cars were a complete and total visual change from the then-outdated second-gen Camaro-a car GM built for 11 years! Part of the new design's initial shock was how different 1970s-based styling was from the contemporary 1980s automotive designs. It really was a whole new car! This 1984 is one of the earlier models when you take into consideration the fact that these cars were built with only minor updates for 10 years. Furthermore, fasten your seatbelts for a trip back in time: this Camaro only has 31,020 miles and is a total time-capsule! If you look closely enough, you'll even find some original GM rubber parts. The exterior looks like new; the paint is in exactly the condition that it should be for a car with this low mileage. The wheels have been tastefully swapped for Camaro IROC-Z wheels which would not have been available until 1985. Regardless, this was a common and period-correct change that sure does make the red paint on this Z28 pop! Don't worry, the original wheels are included with the sale. The interior is like nothing you've ever seen, unless you've seen one of these cars when they were nearly new that is. Everything is in excellent condition and works as expected. When you sit in this Camaro, you are transported back in time! It may seem odd, saying that of a car from the '80s, but it is important to recognize that 1984 was nearly 35 years ago. Driving this Camaro is truly a pleasure. Many of us have driven a worn out or high-mileage third-gen, but this Camaro is different. It handles great, is very responsive, and the engine runs smoothly as can be. Overall, this Camaro is in beautiful condition both inside and out. Not to mention it carries with it a ton of original documents including the owner's manual, buildsheet, warranty info etc.. Many enthusiasts may not expect a lot of a 1980s GM product, but you can surely expect a lot of this little gem. Whether you had one in the past, or you're looking for that one affordable future collectable, this Camaro is worth your time!
