1984 Monte Carlo was the first year for this model . It was the first one sold at Fletcher Jones Chevrolet . General motors engineered this one with a factory performance package ( 411 gears ,performance suspension , 305 high output 10/1 compression motor ) making it a candidate for a 1/4 mile car . The only change out in this car was the 350 transmission ( smaller ) to a larger , longer 350 turbo with a shift kit . Dual exhausts in great condition . the original disc front and drum rear brakes were redone 18 months ago . The high volume oil pump shows 30 psi at idle and 60 psi running - a strong motor . Care and maintenance with only Mobil full synthetic 15/50 oil changes and regular fluids have securely carried this car through 280k miles ! The 4 core heavy duty radiator has always done a excellent job of cooling . The original AC unit blows a cold 29 degrees at the vent ! Perfect heater and heater core . All Moog front end rubber parts replaced . All original interior : seats-fabric-head liner-floor mats-dash-trim-gauges ( original clock works ) . All original paint with some minor pitting in a few places . Original body , motor and rear end . Comes with the original manuals . Sadly the original factory car cover included with the car has deteriorated and no longer exists . Original factory rally wheels .
