The engine has never been rebuilt, and it runs very strong. No leak!!!!! The transmission shift very smooth on every gear. It is the first year they started using the G50 gear box on the Carrera. The switch from type 915 to type G50 was an important step, and one which carried with it a whole new approach to gear change. The G50 unit was a far more efficiently designed unit, and substantially improved ease of operation and gear shift throw. Every time I drive it, I wish I can stay in the car for longer. Absolutely fun car to drive. If you are a Porsche enthusiast, you already most of them comes with bad A/C. My A/C works on low to medium high fan speed. You can't put it on Max fan speed though, it will make noise. Some A/C is still better than no A/C. The color of this car is called Indian Red, a slightly brighter than the India Red 83-86. There are few flaws that I would like to mention. There is a clear coat peel about the size of a penny near the driver door. The paint on gas door also is cracking. There are few rock chips on the side mirror. Lastly the driver power window not working. If you want to make it exhibition ready, items above needs to be taken care. But if you are like me, the little cosmetic imperfection didn't stop me falling in love with this mastered piece.
