Vehicle Description
For Sale - 1989 BMW 325ix (E30).
This E30 is well maintained, with consistent fluid changes, and new rotors, brakes pads, Bilstein shocks, power steering pump, steering knuckle, and radiator installed within the last two years. I have complete service records from my ownership, as well as from the previous owner. I can provide the service records upon request.
I purchased this E30 primarily to be used as a fun weekend back roads car. She is not a show car, but has less than expected wear for a 30 year old BMW. Little to no rust on the body, interior is in good to excellent condition, seats are in excellent condition, except for a small tear on the driver's seat. Has the iconic E30 Basket Weave wheels mounted, which are in fair condition, but could use refurbishment. Has the typical E30 oil leaks, but leak is extremely slow and the engine does not appear to consume oil at a noticeable rate. Gauges are all functional; however, the temp gauge is not accurate once the car is at temperature, and the gas tank gauge is only accurate to about a half tank (I usually just fill up at or shortly after 280 miles). Both front window regulators function, but both rear window regulators do not work. Power mirrors and heated seats all function properly. Heater and AC work properly. All-wheel drive is functional. This E30 is currently straight piped and had a short-shifter installed by previous owner. New Momo Prototipo steering wheel installed in May 2019. Aftermarket radio installed, by previous owner, provides Bluetooth connectivity.
Only issue I have noticed recently is a vibration through the pedals and steering wheel only between 40-50 mph. It is most likely caused by the aging tires needing balancing or to be replaced completely.
I purchased this E30 from a serious car collector. I have seriously enjoyed my time with this E30, but I am looking to move on to a new fun weekend car. I am not in a rush to sell and will only deal with seriously interested buyers. No tire kickers will be entertained. Asking $8500 cash OBO. Would consider trade for a well-maintained manual Jeep Wrangler CJ.
Only in-person sale, will not ship vehicle for a buyer, and do not need help from third-party sellers.
