Vehicle Description
1991 Rolls Royce Silver Spur II. VIN: SCAZN02D7MCX34879 Long Wheel base Executive model with 6.75 Liter V-8 engine and 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic GM400 transmission. Mileage is 55390. Long wheel base is extended 4 inches with the extra space being in the back door & back seat area. The Executive model has rear reclining seats, wood door panels, and hide headliner. In 2016 it received a fully documented extensive mechanical refurbishing by a Houston Rolls-Bentley specialist at 53K miles and a cost of $12,483.00. Brakes, tires, suspension, seat controller modules, cruise control, remote locks were included among the items addressed. With the exception of the few minor malfunctions remaining and listed below in the Items needing attention section, all mechanical and operating functions were restored to factory specifications at this time. The car is finished in black with a renewed black Everflex roof. Body, paint and interior are as new other than for some very fine hairline patina in the paint not visible in photographs but which can be detected by the eye on very close inspection. The entire interior including seats, door panels (other than for their wood inserts and cappings), dash top, headliner and rear window package tray is finished in saddle tan Connelly leather piped in black and is flawless. All wood finishes are like new with Burled Walnut trimmed with Satinwood bandings and a Kingwood pin line inlay used extensively throughout the interior on the dash, console, door cappings, door panel inserts and the fold down picnic tables which are fitted to the backs of the front seats. The sheepskin rugs are in overall good to very good condition but the original tan color has faded to a nondescript grey. Carpets are like new with no stains or wear either in the interior or the trunk. The engine and its compartment, including the parachute material securing the insulation under the hood, are pristine. All original tools, leather bound Owner’s Manuals, Service Manuals, and booklets are in place along with spare mineral oil for the brake system. The original jack, lug wrench, work gloves and safety roadside reflector are in place, as are the original tool kit, spare light bulb kit and rear foot rests. Note: The wheel trim rings seen in some of the photos were deliberately left off during the installation of the new Avon tires (please see wheel & tire photo). However, the complete set of 4 rings and the clips that attach them will come with the car. Features Summary: Long wheelbase Executive Model features wood door panel inserts & rear reclining seats. New Avon Turbosteel “V” Speed Rated tires as specified for suspension system. Anti-Lock Brakes. Auto Ride suspension system. Cruise Control. Original factory installed Premium 12 Speaker Audio System with Cassette and CD. All leather interior (Seats, Door Panels, Dash Top, Headliner, Package Tray). 8 Way Power Seats, heated, with 4 memory positions for both passenger & driver. Dual-zone Climate Control. Remote Locks. Power Mirrors with 4 memory positions. Power Windows. Registered as a classic with State of Texas Antique Auto Plates Items needing attention: Interior lights do not come on when right rear door is opened. Lumbar adjustment in front seat backs not working. Remote lock/unlock only works effectively very close to the car. Fuel gauge “twitches” for the first 15 to 20 miles after filling tank. Priced above average market but well below what it would cost to acquire an average example of this vintage and restore it to the level of this car. My previous hobby cars have been of the sporty 60’s variety so the Rolls was quite a departure for me. I have enjoyed the Rolls – it drives like a dream – but the novelty has worn off and I rarely drive it anymore, so have decided to sell it and stick with my wife’s Lincoln for comfort and convenience and my impractical classics for fun. Items frequently missing, or non-original, that indicate a lack of proper maintenance, but that are intact with this car: Original Owner and Maintenance Manuals. Sheepskin floor rugs. Original Premium Audio System (no aftermarket components). Tool and spare light bulb kit. Foot rests.
